Yumna Flora Johansen is a Norwegian shapeshifter currently residing in Mashike, Japan. Though meant to be mortal enemies, she is best friends with vampire Haneru Dolcesconi, and so all of her pack is very tolerable to the vampires. Her personal history reveals she is the daughter of an African immigrant who came to Bergen, Norway. But when a vampire entered Bergen, Yumna shifted in her werewolve-shape and found out about her true nature. She sought help and found an Afro-American couple, Timothy and Tiniecia, who descended from the same tribe as her and offered her to join their pack, located in Las Vegas, America. Via this pack, she came to know her fiancée and fellow shape-shifter Calvin Sean, a Taiwanese with slight African descent. She met Haneru for the first time in 2005, when she and her coven were in Las Vegas, and became best friends after a minor fight.
